Solution Requirements
Texas Medical receives at least 150, two to three page forms per day. Over the course of a year, this adds up to over 110, 000 pieces of paper! With 30 plus accounts and a legal requirement to store information for seven years, documents were stored in four different locations; two in-house filing rooms, an onsite storage shed and an offsite location managed by an outside company. There simply was not enough room to store everything that required storage.

Solution
Texas Medical's DocuWare solution includes; a DocuWare System License and DocuWare AUTOINDEX, CDMAKER, COLD/READ, ISIS PRO, INTERNET-SERVER and RECOGNITION modules, as well as 11 FULL FUNCTION licenses. The company also purchased two Ricoh IS450DE duplex scanners and one Canon DR-5020 scanner as part of the solution. |

The new imaging system has saved the staff eight hours a day in retrieval time and eliminated the 24 hour wait period to access some documents. Texas Medical's staff is able to fax and e-mail requested documents directly from their desktop and stay focused on their primary responsibility of processing the billing documents for their clients. |
